Leading
opposition political party in Ghana, The National Democratic Congress has
issued a statement following the nomination of Madam Jean Mensah to replace the
outgone EC chairperson, Charlotte Osei saying that she is unfit to hold the
position.
In a
statement signed by the General Secretary of the Party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia,
they expressed shock at the appointment made by the president, H.E Akufo-Addo
saying that they will give reasons why she is unfit for the position in due
time.
In the statement
they said that, Jean Mensah’s appointment defies all senses of decency,
fairness and transparency.
