Residents of Israel- lormnava in the Ga- central municipal,
Accra has expressed concerns about the deplorable state of their roads.
Speaking to a resident, Labista, He explained that the cause
of the destruction of their roads is as a results of the small nature of
gutters created in the community.
He said the gutter which was created in the area is too
small to hold the volume of running water that passes through it which
eventually get the road flooded thereby creating of portholes on the road.
“Due to the nature of our roads, we even under go serious
pains in our body when we use the road to and fro “Labista expressed.
A driver, Kwesi Darko added that plying the road has become
difficult for drivers because of its bad conditions.
“We always have to spend our sales on car maintenance which
is causing us a lot” Kwesi Darko feared.
In view of this, residents
within the community [isreal- lormnava] therefore appeal to the government and
the Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Hon. Ayorkor Botchwey to come to
their aid with immediate effect, before destruction in the area escalates as the
rainy season approaches.
